8. MAINTENANCE
DANGER! Risk of injury due to electric shock.
Remove the battery pack before adjusting, inspecting,
cleaning or storing the product.
8.1 CLEANING

Wipe off the housing and the plastic components using a moist, soft cloth. Do not use strong solvents
or detergents on the plastic housing or plastic components. Certain household cleaners may cause
damage, and may cause a shock hazard.
8.2 CLEANING THE BLADE

WARNING! Wear safety gloves when working on the cutting
device and close to it! Use appropriate tools to remove debris,
e.g. a brush or wooden stick! Never use your bare hands! The
replacement of the cutting device should be done by a
qualifi ed specialist! Rework or sharpening blades is not
recommended unless it is done by a repair service or a
similarly qualifi ed specialist!
Keep the blade clean and free of debris.
Remove trimmings.
Apply a small amount of suitable lubricant on the blade to retain a good cutting performance.
Keep the blade sharp. Have a worn or damaged cutting device replaced with a new one of the same type
by a qualifi ed specialist.
Lubricate the Blades
For easier operation and longer blade life, lubricate the pole hedge trimmer blade before and after each
use. Stop the product and remove the battery pack from the product.
Lay the pole hedge trimmer on a fl at surface.
Apply lightweight machine oil along the edge of the top blade.
If you will be using the pole hedge trimmer for an extended period, it is advisable to stop work
intermittently in order to re-oil the blade.
WARNING : Do not oil while the pole hedge trimmer is running.
