Proper sensor type is also a very important factor in obtaining precise measurements. The sensor must
have the correct temperature range to meet the process requirements.
Controller accuracy is far greater than, and therefore limited by, the input sensor.

Functional description
" Process Variable " red display :
During normal operation indicates actual process temperature.
During calibration or configuration indicates the current parameter being changed.
" Setpoint Value " green display :
During normal operation indicates the controller setpoint.
During calibration or configuration indicates the current parameter value.
" Control Output" red indicator :
Indicates that the controller is calling for heat to be applied to the process.
" Alarm Output" red indicator :
Indicates that the process has exceeded the pre-set alarm value.
Alarm relay will be energised.
" Autotuning " indicator :
Indicates that the controller is autotuning.
" Scroll " key :
Enables the various controller parameters to be advanced through the menu to allow
values to be altered.
Used to select controller P-I-D values during normal operation.
This key is also used to step between the controller's various security levels (see § 3.5).
" Raise " key :
Increases the value of the parameter displayed in the lower (setpoint value) display.
" Lower " key :
Decreases the value of the parameter displayed in the lower (setpoint value) display.
" Return " key :
Enters changed parameter values into the controller's memory.
