Before cleaning the device, disconnect it
from the power supply by removing the plug
or batteries.
NOTE!
Use only the recommended batteries. Always
replace weak or empty batteries with a new,
complete set of batteries at full capacity. Do
not use batteries from different brands or with
different capacities. The batteries should be
removed from the unit if it has not been used
for a long time.
Never recharge normal, non-rechargeable
batteries. This could lead to explosion during
the charging process.
Do not disassemble the device. In the event
of a defect, please contact your dealer. The
dealer will contact the Service Centre and
can send the device in to be repaired, if
necessary.

1. General/Location
First you must make sure that your microscope
is on a stable and solid surface.
2. Electric LED lighting with dimmer
The microscope has two independently
adjustable lighting units for upper and lower
lighting that can be controlled using the dimmer
wheel (Fig. 1, 16+17). The transmitted light unit
(Fig. 1, 16) is used for transparent specimens
on holders/slides. To view solid non-transparent
specimens use the direct light unit (Fig. 1, 20).
Simultaneous use of both direct and transmitted
light is only reasonable if the specimen is
semi-transparent. This operating mode is not
recommended for transmitted light specimens
on slides as it may cause reflection on the
slide.
The recommended batteries must be inserted
into the battery compartment (Fig. 1, 14)
located in the base plate before use.
Remove the battery compartment cover by
pressing lightly on the cover clip. Insert the
batteries into the holder.
