Operation
NOTE
Aerosol therapy must only be carried out as directed by a med-
ical professional.

Direct the unconnected end of the long hose to the
mouth/nose area of the patient or to the opening of the tra-
cheal cannula.
Maintain a minimum distance of 20 cm to the patient.
Set the toggle switch at the back to "I" (on).
Set the required nebulizer output (A).
Set the required air flow (B).
Make sure that there is enough fluid.
NOTE
Do not allow the nebulizer chamber to run dry.
If the device runs dry, it switches off automatically and a signal
tone can be heard. The signal tone stops after approx. 2 minutes.
If the red light indicates a malfunction
Switch off the device with the setting knob (A).
Set the toggle switch at the back to "0" (off). The red lamp (C)
goes out.
For troubleshooting see "Fault – Cause – Remedy" on
page 26.
Set the toggle switch back to "I" (on) and switch on the device
with the setting knob (A).

Setting the timer

Set the desired time for the timer using the setting knob (A).
A maximum of 60 minutes can be set.
When using sterile water capsules without a refilling system a
maximum of 15 minutes can be set.
If the timer is activated, the signal light (B) is lit.
When the set time has elapsed, the device switches off automati-
cally:
The red light (C) is lit and a signal tone can be heard. The sig-
nal tone stops after approx. 2 minutes.
The device can only be switched back on after it has been
switched off with the setting knob (D).

Turn the setting knob for nebulizer output (A) anti-clockwise up
to the stop. This switches off the quartz oscillator, the fan, and
the hose heater.
The green light (B) goes out.
Set the toggle switch at the back to "0" (off).
Close the hose clip of the refilling system.
