SAFETY NOTES
The user must read the handbook instructions thoroughly in order
to minimize the risk of injuries.
GENERAL SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS FOR ELECTRIC POWER TOOLS
CAUTION: Read all safety notes and instructions. Failure to observe
the safety notes and instructions may result in electrical shock, fire and/or
serious injuries. Retain all safety notes and instructions for future
reference. The term „Electric Power Tool", as used in the safety notes
refers to mains-operated electric power tools (with mains cable) and to
battery-powered electric power tools (without mains cable).
1. Workplace safety
a. Keep your working area clean and well-lit. Untidy or unlit working
areas can lead to accidents.
b. Do not work with the electric power tool in potentially explosive
surroundings, in which flammable liquids, gases or dusts can be
found. Electric power tools generate sparks that may ignite the dust or
vapours.
c. Keep children and other people away during use of the electric
power tool. You may lose control of the appliance when distracted.
2. Electrical Safety
a. The electric power tool's connecting plug must fit into the
socket. The plug must not be altered in any manner. Do not use
any plug adaptor in conjunction with protective earthed electric
tools. Unaltered plugs and matching sockets minimize the risk of
electric shock.
b. Avoid body contact with earthed surfaces such as from pipes,
heaters, cookers and refrigerators. There exists a heightened risk of
electric shock when your body is earthed.
c. Keep electric power tools away from rain or moisture. The infiltration
of water in an electric power tool heightens the risk of electric shock.
d. Do not misuse the cable by using it to carry the electric power
