Fill the hydraulic circuit with oil periodically. Proceed as follows:
a) lift the arm up to the end of stroke
b) unscrew screw (1) positioned on the connection directly fastened to the small piston (photo 13)
c) holding the arm up to the end of stroke, feed the circuit with the hydraulic oil necessary for proper operation (6cc).
To fill the circuit with oil, it is recommended to use a syringe containing oil AGIP OSO46 (ISO L-HM-VG46/DIN-31524) (photo 14);
d) re-install the screw and the copper washer without tightening;
e) slowly lower the arm to let the air out of the circuit;
f) tighten the screw holding the arm down.
IN CASE OF TECHNICAL PROBLEMS
The machine does not start:
- check that the plug is perfectly connected to the socket
- check that the machine's power cable is not damaged
- check that the socket is energized
- check that no fuses in the socket are broken
- check that the system's automatic circuit breaker has not fused
If, after these operations, the machine cannot start due to a failure, have it checked by an authorized service centre.
The connection of the machine to the mains trips the automatic circuit breaker:
- contact an authorized service centre.
The machine's electric motor is overheated:
- check that the voltage indicated on the technical data plate conforms to the line voltage
- check that the motor's cooling fan is running regularly and is not damaged
- check that the grinding wheel does not stop during grinding
If the problem persists, contact an authorized service centre.
The direction of rotation of the grinding wheel is opposite to the one indicated on the machine:
- contact an authorized service centre
The machine produces anomalous vibrations:
- check that the machine is properly fastened onto the work bench
- check that the motor is properly fastened to the arm with the three fastening screws
- check that the vice unit is secured to the base by the knob positioned below it
- check that the abrasive wheel is properly assembled on its cantering hub.
If the problem persists, contact an authorized service centre.
The chain is not clamped when the motor arm is lowered:
- check the correct position of the contrast cam based on the type of chain to be sharpened
Corrective action: identify the correct position according to the manual's instructions
- check that when the arm is lowered, the ferrule slides properly inside the chain contrast and deforms the internal jaw, so as to ensure
the chain clamping .
Cause: insufficient quantity of oil in the circuit.
Corrective action: after draining the circuit, re-fill it according to the manual's instructions.
If the problem persists, contact an authorized service centre.
