Before initial operation
These operating instructions must be carefully studied! It contains important
information on the connection to the local mains supply, correct unit usage and safe
handling.
Check for tranportation damage during unpacking.
Do not try to start up a damaged unit before the damage has been repaired or you
have ascertained the effect of the damage. Get in contact with supplier and/or
carrier for settlement of damage claims
Repairs, alterations or modifications must only be carried out by specialist
personnel Considerable damage can be caused by improper repairs. The SI
Analytics GmbH service department is at your disposal for repair work.
Initial operation
This device is not designed according to the IEC 60601-1 standard and should not
be operated in rooms used for medical purposes and/or in the vicinity of patients.
Only connect the unit to a power socket with an earthing contact (PE – protective
earth). Electrical connections and any other work must be performed by qualified
personnel only. The power supply plug serves as a safe disconnecting device from
the line and must always be easily accessible. Never operate units with damaged
mains power cables.
Operation
Only use this unit solely for the intended application.
Never operate the unit without bath fluid in the bath! Only use the heat transfer
liquids recommended by SI Analytics GmbH
Do not operate the unit with wet or oily hands.
Do not expose the unit to spray water or immerse it in water.
Employ suitable connecting tubing.
Make sure that the tubes are securely attached.
Cleaning
Do not clean the unit with solvents (fire risk!) – a wet cloth soaked in household
detergent is normally sufficient.
Transportation
Always empty the bath before moving the unit. Transport the unit with care. Sudden
jolts or drops may cause damage in the interior of the unit.
The bath fluid has to be checked at regular intervals (cleanness and chemical
condition).The cooling circuit can be strongly damaged, especially by chemical
contamination.
Notice:
A distance of at least 20 cm on each side must be maintained for ventilation,
allowing internal heat to be conducted away from the unit.
