1.2. LIABILITY

Before installing and using the io RGB LED receiver, read these instructions carefully.
The io RGB LED receiver must be installed by a motorisation and home automation
professional in accordance with the Somfy instructions and the regulations applicable in the
country in which it is commissioned.
Any operation of the io RGB LED receiver outside the scope of application described above is
prohibited. Such use, and any failure to comply with the instructions given in this guide, absolves
Somfy of any liability and invalidates the warranty.
The installer must inform his customers of the operating and maintenance conditions for the io
RGB LED receiver and give them the operating and maintenance instructions after installing the
io RGB LED receiver. Any after-sales service operation on the io RGB LED receiver requires the
intervention of a motorisation and home automation professional.
Never begin installing without first checking the compatibility of this product with the associated
equipment and accessories.

2. INSTALLATION

2.1. ASSEMBLY - WIRING

Warning
Comply with current standards and legislation in the country of installation.
Precaution
• Check that the power of the LED lights connected to the io RGB LED receiver does not exceed
3.75 A per output and 10 A in total
• To guarantee electrical safety, this class III product must be powered by a 12 V or 24 V SELV
(safety extra-low voltage) voltage supply.
Attention
• Secure cables to prevent any contact with moving parts.
• Leave the receiver power supply cable accessible: it must be possible to replace it easily.
• To ensure good radio reception, ensure that the outside aerial is not in contact with any
metallic item.
1) Switch off the mains power supply.
2) Connect the io RGB LED receiver to a coloured LED light (RGB) (A), a white LED light (B) (optional)
and the power supply unit (C) observing the proper polarity in accordance with the table and
illustration below.
