6. Getting started
• Pull the protecting foil from the display.
• Open the battery compartment with a suitable screwdriver and
remove the battery insulation strip. Close the battery compartment
again.
• All LCD segments will be displayed for a short moment.
• The unit is ready for use.
• Beside the time (0:00 default) the DST symbol will be flashing.
• Do we have summertime, press °C/°F / +1 button for confirmation
during the symbol will be flashing.
• 1:00 appears and the DST symbol stays in the display.
• If there is no confirmation within 15 seconds the DST symbol disap-
pears.
• For a simple switch with only one press of the button you have to
have the correct setting of the clock (see point: Summer-/winter time
switch)
• Remove the batteries to shut down the instrument.
6.1 Manuel setting of the clock
• Press the MODE button.
• The hour digits will be flashing.
• Press the °C/°F / +1 button to adjust the hours.
• Confirm the setting with the MODE button.
• The minute digits will be flashing.
• Press °C/°F / +1 button to set the minutes.
• Confirm the setting with the MODE button.
• The display shows the current time.
6.2 Summer-/winter time switch
• Press and hold the MAX/MIN/SUM/WIN button for 3 seconds, the
summertime is changing in wintertime and vice versa (+/- 1 hr).
• The DST symbol disappears/appears on the display.
• Please pay attention to the correct setting at the start up procedure.
6.3 Indication of the temperature
• Press the °C/°F / +1 button in normal mode to change between °C
(Celsius) or °F (Fahrenheit) as temperature unit, at the same time the
time system changes from 24 to 12 hour-system.

• AM or PM (after 12 o'clock) appears on the display.
6.4 Maximum and minimum values
• Press the MAX/MIN/SUM/WIN button.
• appears on the display.
• The highest indoor temperature and humidity are displayed since
the last reset.
• Press the MAX/MIN/SUM/WIN button again.
• appears on the display.
• The lowest indoor temperature and humidity are displayed since the
last reset.
• To go back to the present temperature display, press the MAX/MIN/
SUM/WIN button once more. The instrument will automatically quit
the maximum and minimum mode if no button is pressed.
• Press the °C/°F / +1 button in the respective mode to clear the
recorded maximum or minimum values.
6.5 Comfort zone
• On the display appears a smiling face icon to indicate the comfort
level of indoor climate (humidity 40%...60%).
6.6 Temperature sensor
• The silver pin is the temperature probe. Please take care of it and do
not break it. The temperature probe has no adjusting function. It
only measures the temperature.
6.7 Table standing
• Put the instrument on the provided stand and look for an appro-
priate position.
7. Care and maintenance
• Clean your instrument with a soft damp cloth. Do not use solvents or
scouring agents.
• Remove the batteries if you do not use the product for a long period
of time.
• Keep the instrument in a dry place.
