• When using the MEDISANA back pain treatment unit device for com-
mercial use, a safety control has to be carried out every 2 years at an
authorized service office (MPBetreibV = operator directive).
Informations about the electrodes:
•
- For hygiene reasons, ensure that each user uses his or her own elec-
trodes.
- Do not place the electrodes on the body if it is wet.
- Only use the unit on clean, dry skin.
- Do not place the electrodes to open skin parts.
- Take care never to bring the electrode pads into contact with one an-
other. This could lead to short-circuiting of the device.
- Do not use damaged or defect lines to the electrode; there is danger of
electric shock.
- Do not expose the electrode pads to direct sunlight.
- Slight reddening of the skin after use is normal and will disappear
within 30 minutes. Do not use the unit again until the reddening has
disappeared.
- Select shorter treatment times if skin irritations occur over a longer
period of treatment.
- In case of more severe skin irritation, stop the treatment and consult a
physician.
- Remove the remains of adhesives from the skin with soap and water.
Do not use alcohol or solvents.
• Therapy with the MEDISANA back pain treatment unit does not replace
medical diagnosis or treatment. Ask you doctor for each kind of pain or
disease, before using the device.
• The unit should be used exclusively in the lower back region! Using
the unit on other parts of the body may lead to serious breathing
problems, cardiovascular disturbances or cardiac arrhythmia.

The device should not be used by the following patients:
- patients with pacemakers, defibrillators or extreme cardiac irregularities,
- patients with metal implants or electronic auxiliary devices,
- diabetics and patients with abnormally high blood pressure,
- patients with a tendency towards internal bleeding,
- pregnant women.
