KEMPER MiniFil IFA-Supplementary Operating Instructions - EN

3 Specified Conditions of Use

The MiniFil - IFA is designed to extract and filter welding fumes generated during E-
welding at their point of origin. The hazardous substances released during the work
process are captured by a connected fumes suction burner or an extraction nozzle.
Along with the exhaust air, they flow into the filter unit. Here, they are discharged into
the main filter by a pre-seperator for coarse particles. It has a second additional filter
stage, an aluminum mesh for medium-sized particles and a filter which also extracts
the fine, respirable smoke particles with a discharge efficiency of more than 99%.
The cleaned air is sucked in by the turbines and then reintroduced to the workspace
through a HEPA filter.
Only filter units operating with the so-called circulating air process tested and
approved according to the relevant authority regulations may be used when
extracting welding fumes with carcinogenic particles as generated when
welding alloyed steels (e.g. stainless steel). This filter unit has been approved
for the extraction of welding fumes which are generated when welding low and
high alloy steels and meet the requirements of welding fumes class W3, as per
DIN EN ISO 15012-1.
When extracting welding fumes with carcinogenic particles (e.g. chromates,
nickel oxides etc.), it is imperative to observe the requirements of TRGS 560
(technical rules for hazardous substances) and TRGS 528 (welding work).
Please also observe the information on the name plate.
No reasonable, foreseeable misuse is possible which could lead to dangerous
situations with personal injury when working with the MiniFil - IFA whilst adhering to
its intended use and the specifications made in the MiniFil operating instructions.
