5 Operating elements

On the front, to the left of the operating elements of the MiniFil - IFA, there is an
acoustic signal transducer for the minimum volume flow.
-
Signal horn
Safe capturing of welding fumes is only possible with sufficient extraction
performance. With increasing dust load to the filter elements, the flow
resistance increases and the extraction performance decreases. As soon as it
drops below a minimum value, the signal horn will sound.
- Extraction performance is too low. Check extraction nozzle and suction
hose for blockage / check for kinks, if necessary adjust speed or
change main or HEPA filter.
- The filter change is described in the operating instructions for MiniFil in
item 6.3 "filter change". Please also observe the information therein
especially the warning and safety instructions.

6 Filter change

The life span of a filter insert depends on the type and quantity of discharged
particles. A pre-seperator has been installed upstream to increase the service life of
the main filter and to safeguard against flying sparks. It is recommended that the pre-
separator is checked and if necessary emptied e.g. on a daily or weekly basis.
WARNING
Severe damage to health of respiratory organs and the respiratory
tract - wear respiratory protection e.g.
KEMPER autoflow XP or a respiratory protection filter mask of
class FFP2 as per EN 149.
Skin contact with welding fumes etc. may lead to skin irritations if
the person is sensitive - wear protective clothing.
• Open the upper clamps and remove the cover from the device.
• Now, empty the pre-seperator professionally, by vacuum it ideally with an
industrial vacuum cleaner of the dust class H.
• Dispose of the resulting dust/consumables according to official regulations.
Please request the relevant waste codes from the local waste disposal
service.
• Carry out the first two work steps in reverse order.
