Trouble shooting

Malfunctions often have simple explanations. Please
read the following notes before calling the after-sales
service.
Malfunction
Appliance does not heat up. Luminous
discs are on.
Appliance does not heat up. Fast flash-
ing of luminous discs.
Appliance does not heat up. Luminous

Incorrect repairs are dangerous. Repairs may only be
carried out by one of our trained after-sales engineers.
If the appliance is faulty, unplug the mains plug or
switch off the fuse in the fuse box. Contact the after-
sales service.
Possible cause
Overheating protection: the grill has
been operating on level 12 for a very
long time.
Safety shut-off: the setting has
remained unchanged for over 4 hours.
Power cut: after a power cut, the appli-
ance does not switch back on automat-
ically for safety reasons.
Faulty installation
The metal cooktop expands when hot. This is normal. It will dissappear when the

Solution
After having cooled down, the appliance
switches back on again automatically.
Turn the control knobs to 0. Then you can
operate it again normally.
