5.3. Safe outputs O0 to O3
Safety-related outputs O0 to O3 are designed to act as digital semiconductor outputs for 24 V DC/2 A
(total current).
The outputs are controlled in accordance with the configured safety logic. The safe outputs are
linked to the safety logic that controls them in the connection editor of the MSIsafesoft
configuration software.
For additional information, please refer to the user manual.
5.4. Ground switching outputs O0- and O1-
Ground switching outputs O0- and O1- increase cross circuit protection for the safety system. For
example, these outputs can be used to disconnect a contactor connected to the MSI 200 safety controller
via both the output and ground.
The following output combinations can be used for ground switching:
O0/O0- and O1/O1-.
5.5. Monitoring outputs M0 to M3
The non-safety-related monitoring outputs M0, M1, M2, and M3 are designed to act as semiconductor
outputs for 24 V DC/100 mA.
You can use these monitoring outputs, for example, to control a standard PLC or a detector unit
(e.g., a signal lamp).
As with the safe inputs and outputs, the monitoring outputs are linked in the connection editor of
MSIsafesoft.
5.6. Test pulse outputs T0 and T1
The test pulses output at outputs T0 and T1 are used for cross-circuit detection at the inputs. There are
two of each output. The output test pulses T0 and T1 are asynchronous to each other, i.e., T0 is not equal
to T1. Cross-circuit detection can occur between both T0 and T1 and between a test pulse and 24 V.
Cross-circuit detection can only be performed if the safe inputs involved are configured accordingly
using the device parameterization editor (part of the hardware editor in MSIsafesoft).

6. Operating/Indication elements

LEDs indicate the operating states.

Description
LED OFF
LED is ON
LED is flashing slowly or quickly

6.1. Status LEDs

The device's operating state can be determined from the
four status LEDs at the front.
The LEDs are as follows (from left to right):
PWR:
