6.5. CONFIRM button
Confirming the new configuration
The CONFIRM button is located at the front of the device on the right-hand
side, above the USB interface.
• Press the CONFIRM button using a pointed object (e.g., a pencil) to confirm
a configuration which has just been loaded. The controller cannot accept
the configuration until this has been done.
For additional information, please refer to the user manual.
Replacing the AC-MSI-CFG1 data memory module
The button also has an important role to play when the AC-MSI-CFG1 data memory module is being
replaced.
• If you want to copy a configuration to a new MSI 200 safety controller via the AC-MSI-CFG1, insert the
memory referred to above into the new module.
• Then press the CONFIRM button if this is indicated by the CFG LED flashing.
It is also possible to configure a previously configured MSI 200 using a program on an
AC-MSI-CFG1 data memory module.
For details of this procedure, please refer to the user manual.
Resetting displayed errors
You can reset displayed errors by means of the CONFIRM button.
• Depending on the type of error, confirm the error by means of a short or long press (at least 10 s)
of the CONFIRM button.
After a long press of the CONFIRM button, the safety module restarts.
7. Safe extension module
For the number, combination and connection notes of the different extension modules, refer to the
MSI 200 user manual and the operating manual of the respective extension modules.
Observe the information in chapter "4. Installation":
• Use the yellow DIN rail connector AC-MSI-TCS (Order No. 547821) to connect the safe
extension modules.
• Do not use a terminating connector.
