4 | Safety
4.1 | Intended use
The battery pack is designed to help 12 V vehicle batteries with starting problems.
However, it cannot replace the vehicle battery and may only be used in addition to an
existing vehicle battery. The battery pack can also be used as a power supply for sat
navs, smartphones or other similar devices with USB ports, as a power supply for a
laptop with a 19 V port and for charging internal rechargeable batteries.
The battery pack is intended exclusively for private use and not for commercial use.
Only use the battery pack in dry indoor rooms or outdoors in dry ambient conditions.
Only use the mains charger cable in dry indoor rooms. The battery pack is not a toy.
Only use the battery pack as described in these instructions for use. Any other use is
considered improper use and may result in material damage.
The manufacturer or supplier accepts no liability for damage caused by improper or
incorrect use.
4.2 | Safety instructions
WARNING!
Risk of explosion and fire!
Improper handling of the battery pack increases the risk of
explosion and fi re.
• Never expose the battery pack to heat, e.g. from direct sun-
light, naked fl ames etc.
• Keep the battery pack away from hot surfaces.
• Do not use the battery pack in an explosive atmosphere or in
the vicinity of highly combustible liquids, gases or dust.
• Do not expose the battery pack to any moisture, e.g. rain.
• Do not place any objects on the battery pack and do not
cover it during operation.

Risk of electric shock!
Improper handling of the battery pack increases the risk of an
electric shock.
• Only connect the battery pack if the mains voltage of the
socket corresponds to the data on the rating plate.
• Only ever use the enclosed mains charger or the enclosed
vehicle charger cable to charge the battery pack.
• Only connect the mains charger to an easily accessible power
outlet so that you can quickly disconnect the battery pack
from the power supply in the event of a malfunction.
• Only charge the battery pack with the mains charger in dry
indoor rooms.
• Never touch the battery pack or its accessories with wet
hands.
• Never pull on the power cord when unplugging the mains
charger. Always take hold of the mains plug.
• Lay the power cord so that it does not cause a tripping hazard.
• Do not bend the power cord and do not lay it over sharp
edges.
• Never attempt to take hold of an electronic device if it has
fallen into water. In such an event, switch off the circuit brea-
ker immediately and disconnect the mains charger from the
power outlet.
• When you are not using the battery pack, when you are clea-
ning it or if a fault occurs, always switch off the battery pack
and disconnect the mains charger from the power outlet.
• Do not operate the battery pack if there is visible damage or
if the cables or plugs are faulty.
• Do not open the housing and do not make any modifi cations
to the battery pack or its accessories. Leave any repairs to
qualifi ed specialists. To do so, contact a specialist workshop.
In the case of repairs carried out independently, improper
connection or incorrect use, liability and warranty claims shall
be excluded. The rechargeable battery in the battery pack is
not replaceable.
