Fitting in and removal from the car

Note
Before mounting the child safety seat, this should be brought to the sitting position (see 7).
3.1

with the ISOFIX fastening

After adjusting the child safety seat shoulder belts (see 5.1) as follows, secure it with ISOFIX:
- Clip both guides* (Fig. A, No. 10) on to both ISOFIX anchorage points on the car seat, between the seat squab and the
backrest. There must be a clearly audible "click". The recess of the guide must be visible from above (Fig. K).
- Using the grip provided for this purpose (Fig. A, No. 8), pull out both armrests (Fig. A, No. 11) to the full extent. On
both sides of the seat squeeze the locking button (Fig. A, No. 13) and the red release button (Fig. A, No. 12) together
and remove the connector protection. The lock (Fig. A, No. 9) in both mounts (Fig. A, No. 11) must be open (Fig. L).
- Position both mounts (Fig. A, No. 11) directly in front of the guides (Fig. A, No. 10).
- As the mount on the first side engages (Fig. A, No. 11), there must be a clearly audible "click" (Fig. M).
- As the mount on the other side engages (Fig. A, No. 11), there must also be a clearly audible "click" (Fig. M).
- To release the locking mechanism turn the green lever (Fig. B, No. 27) downwards. Then push the child seat with the
lever (Fig. B, No. 27) turned down towards the backrest.
- Push the child seat towards the backrest applying firm, even pressure on both sides (Fig. N).
- Check that the seat is firmly in position by pulling on each side.
- To release the ISOFIX fastening (dismounting), press the green securing knob (Fig. A, No. 13) and the red slide (Fig. A,
No. 12) against each other, first on one side, then on the other (Fig. O). Release the mounts (Fig. A, No. 11).
* The guides simplify fitting ISOFIX in some cars and avoid damaging the seat. They should be fitted where necessary and, if they are not
used, they should be removed and stored in a safe place. In vehicles with folding backrests, the guides must be removed before folding.
Defects can generally be attributed to dirt in the guides and the catches in the mounts. This can generally be put right by removing the dirt.
