PROBLEMS

CAUSE
Solenoid did not open
Solenoid opens, but gas is not
detected or ignited
Ignition occurs, then goes out
Solenoid opens, gas is
detected, no ignition.
SOLUTION
Check for power to solenoid
Defective solenoid
Open all gas supply valves
Supply proper gas pressure
Air in gas supply. Purge the air
Defective burner circuit board
Check fl ame sensor for cracks
Check fl ame sense connection
Check fl ame sensor location
Ground fault issue, poor ground
Improper electrical polarity
Flame sensor touching metal
Check igniter cable
Check igniter gap
Broken insulator on igniter
Defective ignition transformer
No power to ignition transformer
