Adjusting Depth of Cut
:
Shut off the engine and wait for the
blade to come to a complete
standstill.

Loosen the wingnut (1)
counterclockwise.
:
Adjust the wheel (2):
Upwards to increase
depth of cut (A).
Downwards to reduce
depth of cut (A).

Adjust correctly
The depth of cut varies, depending
on uneveness of the ground, your
height and the way you hold the
edger.
Use the following procedure:

Adjust the depth wheel (2) so that
the blade (3) just touches the
ground or breaks the surface of the
soil by no more than 1/4" (5 mm) (B)
in the working position.

Do not adjust the deflector
The deflector has been set at the factory
so that the arrow on the deflector and
the open side point away from the
operator. This ensures that cuttings and
other debris are directed away from the
machine and operator.
