STORING THE PRESSURE WASHER

NOTE: Regular use of pump protector will give you
better performance of the unit and increase the life of
the pump. See the Replacement Parts List for available
sizes and part numbers of these items and call customer
service to order.
Store in a dry, covered area where the weather can't damage it.
It is important to store this product in a frost-free area. Always
empty water from all hoses, the pump, and the detergent
bucket before storing.
Make sure the on/off switch is in the OFF position.
Hang the power cord using the hook and loop strap to
secure the cord in place.
PERIODIC MAINTENANCE SCHEDULE
Maintenance Items
Check pump lubricant level
Check pump lubricant quality (for discoloration or
contamination)
Check for pump lubricant leaks - inspect oil seals, drain
plug, oil plug, sight glass
Check for water leaks under manifold, into crankcase
Plumbing
Change pump lubricant
Change pump seals
1 If other than Cat Pumps special formula premium grade ISO68 hydraulic oil is used, change cycle should be every 300
hours.
2 Pump seals should be replaced at 200 hours if unit is used commercially. In residential use, replace seals after 500 hours.
NOTE: If you are not sure how to perform any of the maintenance items listed above, take the unit to an authorized
service center to have the maintenance item performed.
MAINTENANCE
Disconnect the water connection.
Tilt the unit as shown to allow any remaining water in the
pump to drain from the water inlet.
NOTICE:
The use of a pump protector is required after each use
and before storing to prevent cold weather and seal
damage during storage. Failure to use pump protector
will void your warranty.
Remove all hoses. Coil the hoses and store as shown.
Do not allow the hose to become kinked.
Store the unit and accessories in an area that does not
reach freezing temperatures. Do not store near furnace or
other sources of heat that could dry out the pump seals.
