Warnings
The RPM requires cleaning and sterilization prior to initial use.
Devices labeled "for single use only" must not be reprocessed for re-use.
Single-patient use devices must not be reused, as they are not designed to perform
as intended after the first usage. Changes in mechanical, physical or chemical
characteristics introduced under conditions of repeated use, cleaning and re-
sterilization may compromise the integrity of the device leading to diminished safety,
performance and/or compliance with relevant specifications and standards.
The RPM should be thoroughly cleaned and sterilized between each use. FMX
surgical instruments are single-patient use only and should never be reused.
Because the contamination of this device may include human blood or body fluids capable
of transmitting bloodborne pathogens, the requirements of OSHA Standard 29 CFR
1910.1030 – Occupational Exposure to Bloodborne Pathogens should be followed.
Never use metal brushes or steel wool for cleaning the RPM.
