7 Special operating conditions
7.1 Weekend or party operation
If, for example, during the weekend or a party,
the drop period is to be switched off temporarily,
turn the operating mode switch (2) to the
position
. Where the selected heating pro-
gramme is to take over again, turn the operating
mode switch back to position .
7.2 Summer-time operation
Set the operating mode switch (2) to the
position. This sets the heating system permanently
to night temperature.

7.3 Frost protection
If you merely want to protect unoccupied rooms against
frost, turn the operating mode switch (2) to
the temperature selector (1) back to 5 °C.
7.4 Operating and mains failure
For environmental protection reasons this room thermostat
contains no batteries. The timer comes to a standstill if the
mains power fails. However, the programme you have
entered is retained. When the mains power returns, the
heating programme continues automatically. The time of day
must be corrected accordingly. Using the minutes hand (3)
set the current time of day as described in chapter 4.
