Before starting make sure the chain is
not obstructed.
When the chainsaw is running, grip the
front handle firmly with your left hand
and the back handle with your right hand
(Fig. 14).
- Stop the motor before setting the chain saw
down.
- Do not lean forward and do not cut above
shoulder height; gripping the saw at the top
of the handle makes it difficult to control and
counteract kickback.
- Do not use in trees or on steps, this is
extremely dangerous.
- Stop the saw if the chain strikes a foreign
object. Inspect the saw and repair or replace
parts as necessary.
- L e f t - h a n d e r s s h o u l d f o l l o w t h e s e
instructions too. Keep a proper cutting
stance.
Over exposure to vibrations can result in
blood-vessel or nerve injury to persons
suffering with blood circulation problems.
Seek medical attention if you experience
physical symptoms such numbness, lack
of feeling, reduction in normal strength,
changes in the colour of the skin. These
symptoms normally appear in the fingers,
hands or wrists.
Installing the battery
• Push the buttery pack into the battery seat
until the pushlock button (A, Fig.15) lock the
battery in its seat.
WARNING! Use only original battery
packs. The use of other batteries may
result in injuries, explosion and a fi re risk.
Removing the battery
• Pull release knob (A, Fig. 15) and remove the
battery from the machine.

MOTOR START
- Make sure the chain is not in contact with
branches, stones or other objects that could
impair its free movement.
- Hold the handles firmly and first press the
safety button (A, Fig.16), then the on/off
switch (B).

WARNING - Press and hold the switch
completely down (B) during saw operation.
The electric saw do not run when the
brake lever (C) is engaged (Fig. 4).
BREAKING-IN THE CHAIN
Remove the battery before maintenance
work.
After several minutes of use / cutting, the chain
tension must be rechecked:
• Stop the motor and remove the battery;
• Let the chain cool for several minutes;
• Recheck the chain tension (see page 26 –
Chain tensioning)
• Repeat this process until the chain retains
proper tension.
WARNING - Never touch the chain while
the motor is running. Do not touch the
ground with the chain.
WARNING - The electric saw will not
work when the brake lever is activated
(C, Fig. 4).
6. STOPPING THE ENGINE
To stop the motor and the chain, release the
start trigger (B,Fig.16).
WARNING: After releasing trigger (D) the
motor and chain will continue to run for
about 2 seconds!
