5.2 Static alignment recommendations
Please use the Ottobock alignment recommendations for the alignment of
transtibial and transfemoral amputees.
If available, use the L.A.S.A.R. Posture for static alignment of the prosthesis.
5.3 Dynamic alignment recommendations
Adapt the prosthetic alignment in the frontal plane (ML) and in the sagittal
plane (AP) by angle adjustments or sliding adjustments, in order to ensure
correct heel contact, easy roll-over, and optimal shifting of weight onto the
contralateral side. In case of transtibial fittings make sure that a physiologi-
cal knee flexion is achieved during the stance phase.
5.4 Maintenance instructions
Note:
As a basic principle, all Ottobock modular foot components are subjected
to tests involving two million load cycles. Depending on the amputee's
activity this corresponds to a service life of two to three years.
We recommend carrying out regular safety checks once a year.
6 Replacing the rocking rubber
The 1A30 Greissinger plus includes a medium Rocking Rubber (2S2). Both
a lower durometer (2S15) and a higher durometer (2S19) Rocking Rubber
are also available. To replace the rocking rubber, unscrew the hexagon nut
on the plantar surface of the foot and remove the ankle assembly. After
installing the desired rocking rubber, the hexagon nut must be torqued to
30 Nm/22.1 ft.lbs./265.4 in.lbs. using the 710D4 Torque Wrench (with
701Y5 and 710Y6=17) or equivalent.
