Status icons

Refer to Table 1 for descriptions of the status icons that show on the display.
Icon Status Description
Good No problems are identified.
Warning There is a problem that can affect
instrument operation (e.g., a sensor
calibration is necessary).
Critical There is a problem that it is necessary
to correct before instrument
deployment (e.g., a sensor failure has
occurred).

Power save feature

To decrease battery usage, the actions that follow occur when there is no keypad activity for:
• 30 seconds—The backlight becomes 50% less bright.
• 3.5 minutes—The display goes off.
• 5 minutes—The instrument goes off.
Push any key to set the display to on when the instrument is still on.
Note: The power save feature is disabled when the instrument is in the real-time monitoring mode or depth profile
mode or when the instrument is connected to a PC.
