6. Cleaning at home
After each use, wash the pumpset with washing-up
liquid and rinse well. Once a day, disassemble and
boil the components for 10 minutes, or put in the
dishwasher, microwave (in a microwave bag) or steam
steriliser, then dry and cover with a clean cloth. Do not
clean the lip valve with a brush.
The bottle holder should not be boiled.
7. Cleaning in hospitals
Disassemble and sterilise at 121°C (250°F) for
20 minutes / 134°C (273°F) for 5 minutes.
The bottle holder should not be sterilised.
8. Instructions for use
8.1 Expressing milk with one pumpset
• Wash your hands thoroughly.
• Attach the pumpset to the Ardo breastpump.
• Sit down comfortably and relax.
• Centre the nipple so that, when pumping, it moves
freely in the breast shell (breast shell insert).
• Switch on the breastpump.
8.2 Expressing milk with a double pumpset
• Connect the second pumpset to the Ardo breastpump.
• Using the Ardo Calypso breastpump: Connect both
pumpsets at the same time (see illustration). Switch on
the pump and place one hand on each pumpset.
• Using the Ardo Carum breastpump: Place a pumpset on
your breast, switch on the pump and position the second
pumpset on your other breast. Alternatively, you can also
position both pumpsets at the same time.

The adapter tube cover, tube and
tube connector may be boiled/
sterilised but they do not have to
be. It is sufficient to wipe them
with a cloth when needed. It is not
necessary to rinse the tube. However,
it must always be completely dry
before use.
