Select the proper cutting position for your workpiece by
referring to the fi gure.
1. Cutting Operation
(1) Make sure that the switch is turned off . (See "5. Switch
operation" on page 17.)
(2) Set the saw blade circumferential speed according to
the quality and thickness of the material to cut. (See
"6. Adjusting operating speed" on page 17.)
(3) Install the battery. (Fig. 7)
(4) Press the workpiece against the guide plate (Fig. 20)
Press the workpiece against the guide plate in a
position where there is no contact with the band saw
blade.

(5) Press the switch and cut (Fig. 21)
When the revolutions are stable, avoid any sudden
impact to the band saw and gently bring the band saw
to the workpiece to cut.
When completing a cut, hold the tool fi rmly, so it will
not fall against the workpiece.
2. About Remaining Battery Indicator
You can check the battery's remaining capacity by
pressing the remaining battery indicator switch to light
the indicator lamp. (Fig. 22, Table 6)
The indicator will shut off approximately 3 seconds
after the remaining battery indicator switch is pressed.

It is best to use the remaining battery indicator as
a guide since there are slight diff erences such as
ambient temperature and the condition of the battery.
Also, the remaining battery indicator may vary from
those equipped to a tool or charger.
