Use the inspections in the table below if the tool does not operate normally. If this does not remedy the problem, consult
your dealer or the metabo HPT Authorized Service Center.

TROUBLE SHOOTING
Possible cause
The battery capacity is depleted
The unit is overloaded
The storage battery is overheated
There is oil or grime adhering to the band
saw blade or workpiece
The band saw blade is not installed
correctly
A band saw blade operating speed
appropriate for the workpiece is not being
used
The band saw blade is worn away
A band saw blade operating speed
appropriate for the workpiece is not being
used
The band saw blade is not installed
correctly
The gaps between the band saw blade
ball bearing supports have become wide
A band saw blade that is not authorized by
the manufacturer is being used
Suffi cient warm-up cuts have not been
performed
Attempting to install a battery other than
that specifi ed for the tool.
Remedy
Charge the storage battery.
Get rid of the cause of the large load.
Allow the storage battery to cool
suffi ciently.
Wipe off oil or grime that is adhering to the
band saw blade or workpiece.
Install the band saw blade correctly.

Select the correct band saw blade
operating speed.

Replace the band saw blade with a new
one.

Use a band saw blade that is authorized
by the manufacturer.
With the band saw blade operating speed
setting dial set to "1", perform 1 or 2 warm-
up cuts with a light cutting load such as a
cylindrical rod (carbon steel, etc.) with an
outer diameter of 3/4" or less.
Please install a multi volt type battery.
