Attention!
Damage from incorrect or faulty charging of the battery
Incorrect or faulty charging of the battery during initial commissioning
and subsequent use can damage the battery or greatly reduce the ser-
vice life.
→ Always charge the battery completely before initial commissioning
and during subsequent use.
→ Avoid only partly charging the battery.
Attention!
Damage to the battery from total discharge
When the charger is not connected to the power grid, the battery must
be taken out of the charger. Otherwise the battery would be totally dis-
charged and damaged.
→ Take the battery out of the charger when the charger is not connected
to the power grid.
Notice!
The charging time depends greatly on temperature and discharge status
of the battery and on the ambient temperature. The maximum charging
time is about 50 minutes.
Once the battery is fully charged, the charger automatically changes
over to trickle charging. The battery can stay in the charger for any
length of time, overcharging is not possible.
Notice!
The charger monitors the battery temperature during charging. Batteries
whose temperature falls below 0 °C or exceeds 45 °C are not charged.
8.1. First Use
Remove protective film
■ Use the pull-off tab [1-3] to remove the protective film with safety warn-
ing from the protective screen [1-5].
■ Heed the safety warning on the protective film.
