8.2.1 Adding a valve position

See Fig. 14 on page 91.
1. Remove the end plate (7) by undoing the three hex head
screws (8) using an 8 mm wrench.
2. Screw the three tie rod extensions (3), supplied in the tie rod
extension kit, approximately 10 mm into the tie rod nuts (2).
3. Add one or more subbases (4) making sure that the seals (5)
are correctly seated.
4. Fasten the three tie rod nuts (6) using a torque of 2.0–2.5
Nm. Note that one face of the nuts must be parallel to the top
face of the subbase, see detail to the left in Fig. 14.
5. Replace the end plate (7) making sure the seal (5) is in the
correct position. Tighten the three hex head screws (8) using
a torque of 2.8–3.2 Nm. Also check the tightening torque of
the three corresponding hex head screws in the connection
piece (1) in the other end of the valve system.
6. Place the valve (10) or the blanking plate (11) on the new
subbase. Press gently on the valve's electrical connector
end, making sure the contacts are straight and that the seal
is seated correctly.
7. Fasten the valve (10) or the blanking plate (11) using the two
self-tapping Pozidrive screws (12/13). Tightening torque
1.1–1.3 Nm. Screwdriver PZD no. 1.
8. Turn the manual override on every valve to position 0.
9. Replace the valve cover (15) making sure that the seal (9) is
correctly positioned. Tighten the three hex head screws (14)
to 1.0–1.2 Nm.
10. Connect the compressed air supply.
11. Make the electrical connections if the connector pins
assigned to the new position have not yet been connected.
