• do not use fuels, store fuel, or any flammable
vapors and liquids in the vicinity of the air heater
(minimum distance 3 m);
• do not smoke near the air heater or fuel circuit;
• the user must adopt the necessary safety
precautions in case suspect fuel leakage. The
user must clean up the fuel leakage immediately;
• use only accessories recommended by the
manufacturer.
DANGER
Exhaust emissions from the burner
contain carbon monoxide. Exposure to carbon
monoxide can cause death. Do not use the machine
indoors or in an enclosed area unless the air heater
is properly connected to the exhaust piping system,
according to local and national codes.
Operator training is necessary before using the air
heater:
• read and understand the instructions contained
in the manual delivered with the air heater;
• get familiarized with the proper use of all controls
and components of the air heater;
• contact Munters in case training is necessary;
• inform the maintenance staff and operators on
the functioning manners and methods.
WARNING
When using the air heater the user
must take the necessary measures for:
• not allowing improperly trained individuals to
perform any operation with the air heater;
• not allowing the use of this air heater by
individuals (including children under 18 years old)
with reduced physical, sensorial or mental
capabilities
or
with
knowledge.
Periodic assessment of air heater's condition is
necessary, therefore the user must allow the
operation of the air heater when:
• all safety devices and protection guards are in
proper place and in working condition;
• all controls and operating functions are properly
working;
• the air heater is properly installed according to the
instructions from this present manual;
• the air heater is free from excessive amounts of
dirt and dust;
• the warning labels are legible;
• proper precautions to prevent overheating of
floor, walls and ceilings which are made of
flammable materials have been taken;
• proper controls, periodic checks and adjustments
of the burner have been provided; exhaust of
harmful particles or gases into the atmosphere
falls under requirements prescribed by the laws in
force;
• the electrical system and the fuel circuit, to which
the heater is connected to, comply with the

current legislation in the local country of use. The
user must ensure proper certification or license
required by local authorities or country in which
the air heater is being installed;
• the air heaters are installed and operated
according to all national and local regulation in
force;
• the solid combustibles such as building materials,
paper or cardboard, are at a safe distance away
from the heater as recommended by the
instructions (detailed information see Chapter 5);
• the health and safety at work regulations,
standards in force for all different fields of
application are strictly followed.
WARNING
When using the air heater:
• do not modify or defeat the safety devices such
as safety thermostats;
• do not allow the use of faulty fuel supply;
• do not use faulty or damaged components like
fuel pipe, electrical cords, exhaust pipe, etc.
2.3 Points to observe
The information in this manual contains suggestions
for best practice and use of the air heater, and shall
not overcome individual responsibilities or local
regulations. During use or any other operation of the
air heater it is each individual's responsibility to
consider:
• the safety of all persons involved;
• the safety of the air heater and other property;
• the environment.
It is mandatory to perform risk assessment before
making any operation on the air heater.
WARNING
Electric hazard:
• installation, adjustments, maintenance and repair
operations must only be carried out by skilled
persons with relevant technical education, training
and/or experience who are aware of the risks
involved when working with electrical equipment
that
operates
at
temperatures;
• do not open the electric box or other electrical
components. The air heater is connected to high
voltage which can cause serious injury or death;
• before performing any operation on the air heater
make sure that all electrical equipment is
disconnected from the main power supply and
secured against reconnection;
• commissioning and initial start-up of the air heater
must be performed by authorized personnel only.
WARNING
Physical hazard:
• the air heater contains moving parts e.g. propeller
blade; to avoid bodily injury, the air heater must
