13. Do not overreach. Keep proper footing and
balance at all times.
14. Always remain alert. To prevent injury to
yourself and others, do not operate your unit if
you are fatigued.
15. Do not operate the motor faster than the speed
necessary to cut, trim or edge. Do not run the
motor at high speed when not cutting.
16. The string guard must be in place at all times
while operating the trimmer.
17. Always stop the motor when cutting is delayed
or when walking from one cutting location to
another.
18. Do not operate the unit while under the influence
of drugs, alcohol or medication.
19. Do not extend the trimming line length beyond
the length specified in this manual.
Other Safety Warnings

DISCONNECT THE UNIT from the power
supply when it is not in use and before servicing.

Always unplug your unit before you clean or
perform any maintenance on it.

Do not abuse the power cord. Never carry the
unit by the cord or yank the plug out of the
receptacle. Keep the cord away from heat, oil
and sharp edges.

any repair or maintenance procedures that are not
described in this manual.

servicing this unit. These parts are available
from your authorized service dealer. The use of
non–standard parts, or other accessories or
attachments not designed for this unit, could
result in serious injury to the user and/or damage
to the unit and could void your warranty.

Never use metal–reinforced or monofilament
line that is not specifically designed for use with
your model. Model 51450 uses 0.060 inch
(1.52 mm) monofilament line.
7.
STORE UNIT INDOORS – Lock up and store
the trimmer in an appropriate and dry location to
prevent unauthorized use and damage. Keep unit
out of the reach of children.
