NOTE!
National and local electric regulations are to be followed.
For electrical data, see '4.3.2 Electrical data'. Column F1 gives the recommended mains fuses
(slow) for different supply voltages.
Column S1F gives the settings for the overload relay. These are set when the unit is tested
before delivery but should be verified when installing the unit. The setting is equivalent to
0.58×the nominal current of the motor.
For the power circuit, control circuit and terminal connection diagrams, see the following
figures:

7.3.1
General requirements
The following items are minimum requirements to ensure the proper function and required
level of protection with regards to equipment category, the EC directives and standards listed in
Directives:
•
Take proper measures to avoid all types of electrical stray currents to and/or from the duct
system and electrical wiring.
•
Check that the input voltage and frequency to the unit are correct.
•
A lightning conductor is to be installed if the unit is installed outdoors. The installation
of the lightning conductor is to follow national and local regulations for such a protection
device.
7.3.2
Ground check measurement
Check that the unit is properly grounded after both the main installation and regular
maintenance work. If a component is removed and refitted, ground connection is to be verified.
7.4
Compressed air installation
WARNING!
Risk of personal injuries.
Use ear protection and safety goggles!
Requirements
For air consumption, quality and max. and min. pressure, see
Section '4.3 Technical and electrical data'.
NOTE!
The specified air consumption of the unit is limited to the short operation of the
cleaning valve.
As new ducts may contain dirt, particles or debris, the compressed air pipe is to be blown clean
before connecting E-PAK 500. A compressed air filter, see Figure 5, item 6, is to be installed
to ensure the reliable and safe operation of the unit. A compressed air valve, that vents the
remaining pressure of the unit, is to be installed, see Figure 5, item 7.
NOTE!
Take measures necessary to avoid water or humidity in the compressed air when the
unit is installed in cold environments.
NOTE!
If antifreeze additives are used, use them continuously. Once added, the removal of the
antifreeze additive may cause the pneumatic components to malfunction.
WARNING!
Risk of personal injuries.
The compressed air valve is to be locked in the closed position during maintenance.
