English
pull the tabs at each corner to firm and
comfortable compression.
Secure the tabs to the legging once the
knee cover is snugly against the knee. (9)
The circaid juxtafit essentials upper leg
with knee garment has now been
applied. (10) Adjust the bands
throughout the day to provide firm and
comfortable compression. Slightly
loosen the bands if wearing at
night-time.
Note:
After application is complete, you may
fold the edges of the circaid undersleeve
over the top and bottom edges of the leg
component if desired.
Recommendation for combination of
lower and upper leg with knee
garments:
If combining a circaid juxtafit essentials
lower leg with a circaid juxtafit
essentials upper leg with knee, ensure
that the upper leg with knee overlaps
with the lower leg.
Doffing instructions
To remove the component, first remove
the cover up, if using. Then unfold the
circaid undersleeve. Detach all bands of
the component, starting with the top
band. Fold each band back onto itself to
keep the hook tabs free of lint. Remove
the component and then remove the
circaid undersleeve.
Using the Built-In-Pressure card:
Step 1: Locate the BPS card in your
packaging.
Step 2: Identify the appropriate side of
the BPS card based on your ankle
circumference.
Step 3: Identify your prescribed pressure
scale using the color-coded system.
Step 4: Starting with the bottom band,
line up the arrow on the BPS card with
one of the BPS lines on the bottom band
of the component. (Fig. A)
Step 5: Note where the second BPS line
lines up with the card's compression
ranges.
Step 6: If the BPS line on the component
either falls short (Fig. B) or goes beyond
the correct compression range (Fig. C),
readjust the band as necessary so that
the second BPS line on the component is
aligned with the prescribed compression
range. (Fig. A shows the application of
30-40 mmHg of pressure for illustration
purposes, although patients' prescribed
ranges of pressure may vary.)
Completely loosen the band before
reapplying if too much tension has been
applied.
Step 7: Repeat steps 4-6 for each band
going up the leg (11). Be sure to adjust all
bands to the same compression range.
Note:
If also using a circaid lower legging, only
lightly apply the juxtafit upper legging
bands that overlap with the lower
legging to ensure gradient compression.
The remaining bands can be set to a firm
and comfortable compression, using the
BPS system if desired.
Adjusting the component length:
If the length of the juxtafit essentials
upper leg component is too long, it can
be trimmed by 5 cm (12). The upper leg
component is too long if it overlaps with
the lower leg component by more than
2 bands.
Note:
If the component needs to be trimmed
more than 5 cm, a different length of
juxtafit component is required.
