Maintenance / Battery Replacement
9.2 Calibration Interval
The voltage testers must be aclibrated periodically and
checked by our service department at regular intervals
to ensure the specified accuracy of measurement re-
sults. We recommend a calibration interval of one year.
9.3 Battery Replacement
Prior to battery replacement always disconnect the in-
strument from measurement circuits connected. Only
use batteries in compliance with the specifications in
the technical data section!
When switched on, the illuminated LED (5) indicates
that the instrument is ready for testing provided that
the battery charge condition is sufficient. If the green
LED (5) is not illuminated, please proceed to the bat-
tery replacement by using a battery of the following
type: 9 V, IEC 6LR61.
"Disconnect the instrument from all measurement
circuits.
"Place the instrument on the front side and loosen
the screw in the instrument rear.
"Open the battery case in direction of the arrow.
"Remove the discharged battery and insert a new
battery of the following type: 9V, IEC 6LR61.
"Replace the battery case and tighten the screw.
Please consider your environment when you dispose
of your one-way batteries or accumulators. They be-
long in a rubbish dump for hazardous waste. In most
cases, the batteries can be returned to their point of
sale.
Please, comply with the respective valid regulation
regarding the return, recycling and disposal of used
batteries and accumulators.
If an instrument is not used over an extended time pe-
riod, the accumulators or batteries must be removed.
Should the instrument be contaminated by leaking
battery cells, the instrument has to be returned for
cleaning and inspection to the factory.
