5.6 Troubleshooting
WARNING!
All special maintenance operations shall be carried out only by well-trained personnel.
FAULTS
The engine does not start.
Overheating comes out of the gearbox.
The harvesting head does not move.
IMPORTANT!
If the indicated remedies do not solve the problems, take the unit to an authorized service point.

- MAINTENANCE
6.1 Routine maintenance
WARNING!
•
Before any routine maintenance operations, switch the engine off and wear protective gloves.
•
In order not to inhale vapours, wear a protective mask and direct the muffler outlet downwards.
Routine maintenance operations can be carried out by the operators.
6.1.1 Lubrication

Every 100 work hours, check the grease presence in the gearbox (11) by opening the cover (12). If necessary, fill by
means of VANGUARD ML 00 EP grease.
6.1.2 Engine lubrication (when indicated)

WARNING!
Do not use hydraulic or braking system oil. This could cause irreparable damages to the tool.
6.1.3 Cleaning and storing
At the end of the work session, before storing the tool for a period of time, carry out the following operations:
•
Clean the tool up and lubricate its moving parts.
WARNING!
Do not scatter the oil in the environment. Dispose of it according to the Laws of the country where the tool is used.

CAUSE
• Missing fuel.
• The pre-starting procedures have not
been carried out properly.
• Missing lubrication.
• Worn-out component.
• The extension pole has not been in-
serted properly.
REMEDY
• Add fuel.
• Check the engine manual.
• Add lubricant.
• Take the tool to an authorized service
point.
• Check the extension pole and the trans-
mission joints for proper positioning.
