These motors have been developed according to the EEC standards EN 12453 INDUSTRIAL COMMERCIAL AND
GARAGE DOORS AND GATES - SAFETY IN THE USE OF POWER OPERATED DOORS - REQUIREMENTS AND
CLASSIFICATION; EN 12604 INDUSTRIAL, COMMERCIAL AND GARAGE DOORS AND GATES - MECHANICAL
ASPECTS - REQUIREMENTS and to the 89/336; 73/23; 93/68 UE directive. These compliances are necessary and
important so that the motorized door can be considered "in conformity", but it is not enough.
All SIDONE components have been checked and tested before delivery. For the right installation, the installer
must take care of all the information given in these instructions and everything must be done according to the
safety rules and standards. Normative references: EN 12453 - EN 12604 - EN 60204-1 - EN 60335-1.
1. SAFETY
SIDONE is a hollow shaft side operator for rolling shutters with integrated safety brake.
It is supplied with an external control panel already plugged. The integrated safety brake, when the gear breaks
or wears, suddenly works locking the hollow shaft to which the rolling tube is connected. After that some
components of the SIDONE must be replaced to be used again as new.
Features of the safety brake - patented and approved - are the following:
- It locks the hollow shaft when the gear wears of breaks;
- It has a patented shock-absorber system;
- It locks independently of the speed of the gear;
- It locks independently of the angle of the motor installation;
- It works independently of any vibration.
