These welding helmets mod. WM22 (referred to as "mask"
in the text of this manual) conform with the requirements of
European Standard EN 69, EN 66, EN75.
The certification procedure as per Art. 10 of directive 89/686/
CEE has been carried out by :
DIN CERTCO Gesellschaft für Konformitätsbewertung GmbH
Alboinstr.56, 203 Berlin, Deutschland.
(Notified body cod. 0196)
Read carefully and understand this instruction manual before
using the welding helmet.
Please use only glass filters showing the CE mark, of a shade
suitable with the desired welding process and current (see
Fig 1; MIG H = MIG on heavy metals; MIG L = MIG on light
alloys).
The mask is marked: DECA 175 CE

MASK ASSEMBLY
The mask comes already assembled and fitted with the
appropriate glass filters. Before use, it must be adjusted to fit
the user properly.

USE AND MAINTENANCE
This mask has been designed and manufactured to protect
face and eyes from risks (arc rays and hot metal projections)
associated with welding operations and similar processes: it
must not be used for purposes other than those for which it
has been designed.
When used, it should be kept as close as possible to face and
eyes, and as far as possible from direct heat of the arc.
REPLACE THE FRONT COVER LENS: Replace the front
cover lens if it is damaged (cracked ,scratched, dirty) Fig.3.
Reinforced mineral glass oculars/filters should be used
in conjunction only with adequate backing oculars
NOTE: The material of which the mask is made of doesn't
involve any danger for the user, but it should be noted that
may cause allergic reactions if it comes into contact with the
skin of particularly sensitive individuals.
TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS
This mask can carry only glass filters which dimensions are
60 x 100 mm.
Total Weight: 495g
IMPORTANT INFORMATION
Before and after use please check:
position, locking and conditions of the glass filter: replace
it if broken or if cracks are visible; clean it and if necessary
remove from its surface the drops of molten metal which
might reduce visibility
state and conditions of the welding helmet for deformations
or damages which might make the welding helmet not

suitable for the task.
If the parts of the mask ( filter-glass) have various markings
concerning their mechanical strength , the complete helmet
has only the lowest mechanical strength of its parts.
Keep the welding helmet far from flames and intense heat
sources; do not welding helmets on fire.
While welding for long periods check the welding helmet at
regular intervals for deformations or damages.
Store the welding helmet in such a way to prevent
deformations in its shape and dimensions or cracks in the
glass filters.
Clean the welding helmet with a solution of soapy water.
Chemical solvents will damage the welding helmet.
This welding helmet will not protect against explosive devices
or corrosive liquids.

Use a welding filter with the shade that best suits the process
and the welding current intensity you choose (see Fig. 1; MIG
H = MIG on heavy metals; MIG L = MIG on light alloys).
USE AND MAINTENANCE
Handle the welding filter with care.
Do not clean with your hands or using abrasive materials that
could scratch the surface.
Cleaning and storage: Use mild soap and lukewarm water.
Do not use solvents. Keep the welding filter in a dry place,
away from sunlight and heat.
Packing and transport: Wrap the welding filter in soft material
and pack inside a cardboard box.
Expiry: Replace the welding filter preferably every 3 years.
SPECIAL WARNING
Replace the welding filter if damaged (broken, scratched,
dirty).
NB: The material the welding filter is made from does not per
se pose any risk to users. However, contact with the material
is likely to cause allergic reactions in people with particularly
sensitive skin.
