Zero / ON button

ABS / PRESET button
ABS
1. T o change the measuring mode (relative / absolute) - briefly press the
ABS/PRESET button.
When the dial gauge is in the ABS measuring mode, the display shows „ABS".
When the dial gauge is in the relative measuring mode, the display „ABS" disappears.
When the dial gauge is in the ABS measuring mode, a PRESET value (0 or another
preset value) can be applied by briefly pressing the ZERO/ON button.
PRESET - Value - Setting
1. T o enter a PRESET value - hold down the ABS/PRESET button. You are
now in the setup mode and all digits and the +/- sign are displayed.
The last digit (right) flashes indicating that the value can be changed. With
the ZERO/ON button, the desired digit - which is to be changed - can now be
selected. By briefly pressing the button, the flashing digit moves to the left. In
the flashing digit, the desired value can be changed with the in/mm button.
By briefly pressing the in/mm button you can select the digits between 0
and 9. After this, briefly press the Zero/ON button to select the next digit to
be changed. After you have made the desired setting, hold down the ABS/
PRESET button to save the entered value. Thus, the input value becomes the
absolute zero point.
in / mm button
1. By briefly pressing the in/mm button you can switch between the metric
unit system „mm" and the English unit system „in".
2. By holding down the in/mm button a positive or negative value „+ / -" can
be defined for the measuring direction.

TOL / SETTOL button
1. T o enter a tolerance - hold down the TOL / SETTOL button. You are now in
the
setup mode and all digits and the +/- sign are displayed.
The last digit (right) flashes indicating that the value can be changed. With
the ZERO/ON button, the desired digit - which is to be changed - can now be
selected. By briefly pressing the button, the flashing digit moves to the left. In
the flashing digit, the desired value can be changed with the in/mm button. By
briefly pressing the in/mm button you can select the digits between 0 and 9. Af-
ter this, briefly press the Zero/ON button to select the next digit to be changed.
After setting the LOW TOL (lower tolerance limit), briefly press the TOL button
to access the UP TOL (upper tolerance limit) setting. In the same way, you can
make the settings for the UP TOL as explained above. After you have made the
desired setting, hold down the TOL / SETTOL button to save the entered value.
Comments:
If you set LOW TOL higher than UP TOL, the message „EEE" is displayed and a
new setting is requested.
TOL measurement
(measure in the tolerance mode)
1. T o access the tolerance mode - briefly press the TOL/SETTOL button.
2. T o exit the tolerance mode - briefly press the TOL/SETTOL button
If in the tolerance mode the measured value is less than LOW TOL, the left ar-
row < flashes on the display and if the measured value is higher than UP TOL,
the right arrow > flashes on the display. If the value is within the tolerance,
both arrows are displayed continuously
MAX / MIN button
1. 1. T o access the MAX/MIN mode, briefly press the MAX/MIN button.
The desired function can be selected by briefly pressing
the MAX / MIN button.
MAX - saves the maximum value
MIN - saves the minimum value
TIR - sets display to zero and saves the maximum value
