The full face masks with PC disc can also be cleaned and
disinfected in the washing machine. Further information can
be obtained from Dräger.
4.3
Maintenance work
Following any maintenance work and/or replacement of components,
repeat the leak test.
4.3.1
Visual inspections
The speech diaphragm must not be damaged. If required, replace
the speech diaphragm (see Chapter 4.3.5 on Page 20).
To check the exhalation valve, remove the exhalation valve cover
from the connector and thoroughly inspect the valve disc. The
valve disc and valve seat must be clean and undamaged. Clean or
replace if necessary (see Chapter 4.3.6 on Page 20).
Check all parts for damage and replace them if necessary.

Replacing the visor
1. Mask with metal visor frame: Hold the hexagon nuts in position and
unscrew the screws.
1. Mask with plastic visor frame: Unscrew the screws.
2. Pry the visor frame apart at the joints using a screwdriver, then pull
it off to the top and bottom.
3. Remove the support plate if necessary (see Chapter 4.3.3 on
Page 20).
4. Remove the old visor from the rubber frame.
5. Insert the new visor first in the upper and then in the lower part of
the rubber frame.
The central markings on the visor must line up with the seam on
the mask body.

For masks approved for use in fire fighting applications (class
3), only use visors marked with the letter »F« (fire brigade).
The »F« is located at the top.
6. Pull the rubber frame over the edge of the visor on the right and
left side.
7. Moisten the outside of the rubber frame and the inside of the visor
frame with soap water.
8. First press on the upper, then the lower visor frame.
9. Insert the support plate if necessary.
10. Mask with metal visor frame: Screw the screws into the hexagon
nuts and tighten until the gap between the clamping cams is 3 to
0.5 mm.
11. Mask with plastic visor frame: Insert and tighten the screws.
