STAPLE LENGTH ADJUSTMENT
It is important that the correct staple length is selected.
To adjust the staple length, rotate the dial using a flat
head screwdriver (Fig 6) to the relevant position:

CLINCH ADJUSTMENT
To obtain the most secure staple closure it is important
that the staple be clinched properly. Proper clinching
for any thickness board may be obtained by adjusting
the clincher setting (Fig 7) having made sure you are
using staples with the correct leg length.
Note: Use the proper length staples for the thickness of
work to be stapled, otherwise unnecessary pressure is
exerted and staple crowns and legs will be distorted, or
the clinch will be too loose.
m CAUTION: Disconnect the battery before adjusting
the depth adjustment of the tool.
A. To loosen the fastener clinch turn the clinch dial to
the right.
B. To tighten the fastener clinch, turn the clinch dial to
the left.

the depth adjustment of the tool.

A. Using a flat head screwdriver, push the adjustment
dial (Fig 8) to release the locking feature and turn
the knob clockwise to decrease the depth of drive
or anti-clockwise to increase the depth of drive.

OPERATING THE TOOL
Grasp handle with one hand. Position the tool on the box
in line with the desired staple location. Use the black
lines underneath the logo on the side of the tool as an
aid in locating the position of the staple (Fig 9).
Press the trigger making sure that the additional safety
handle is depressed and the tool will clinch the staple.
MAINTENANCE & TROUBLESHOOTING
Remove the battery from the tool and completely empty
the magazine before starting maintenance or repairs.
Read and understand the warnings in this manual and
on the tool itself and use extra care when evaluating
problem tools.
BOSTITCH replacement parts are recommended.
Do not use modified parts or parts that will not give
performance equal to the original equipment.
m CAUTION: Be sure to remove the battery during
clearing jams, inspection, maintenance and cleaning.
MAGAZINE REMOVAL
m CAUTION: Disconnect the battery before adjusting
the clinch tightness of the tool.
A. Remove all fasteners from the magazine
B. Rotate the magazine release lever down to free the
magazine (Fig 10).
C. Pull the magazine back to remove from the tool
(Fig 11).
D. Refitting the magazine is a reverse of the steps
above
