OPERATION
1a. Using the charger on the mains supply: Connect the DC output plug to the DC input socket of the charger. Connect the input
plug of the AC adaptor to the mains socket. The power supply is constructed for worldwide use. For use in America please rotate
the US mains pins from the adaptor (see figure 1). For using the adaptor in Great Britain or Europe please fit the appropriate
primary plugs to the adaptor (see figure 2). Push the white button (A) to lock or to release the primary plug!
1b. Using the charger in a vehicle: Connect the DC output plug of the 12V car cigarette lighter adaptor to the DC input
socket of the charger. Connect the input plug of the DC adaptor to the vehicle cigarette lighter socket.
2a. Charging AA or AAA cells: It is not possible to charge AA cells and AAA cells at the same time. Please select the AA or
the AAA battery box. Open the battery box (see figure 3) and fit the batteries into the battery box. Please pay attention to the
polarity shown at the bottom of the battery box. One, two, three or four batteries may be charged at the same time. Close the
battery box and connect the box to the charging unit (see figure 4). A Green flashing light signifies charging. More frequent
flashing means the cells are nearer to full charge. A constant green light signifies cells are fully charged and now being trickle
charged. The battery box may be disconnected from the charging unit. (see figure 4). Cells can also remain in the charger until
they are needed. After charging the battery box may be used for transport and storage.
WARNING:
Only charge batteries of the same size (AA or AAA) at the same time. Do not mix Micro AAA and Mignon AA. Either insert NiMH or
NiCd rechargeable batteries. Do not charge NiCd or NiMH batteries at the same time. Please ensure that only batteries with the
same capacity (in mAh) are charged at the same time. Avoid charging batteries from different manufacturers at the same time. If
the safety instructions are not followed, this may lead to damage to the charger or batteries or even to serious injury.
ENVIRONMENT
Rechargeable batteries are not to be disposed of in domestic waste. Return used batteries to your dealer or to a battery recycling
collection point.
