safety instructions are not followed, this may lead to damages to the charger or batteries
or even to serious injuries of persons.
OPERATION:
1a. Plug in the charger to the mains: Connect the DC output plug with the DC input socket
of the charger. Connect the input plug from the AC adaptor into the mains socket.
1b. Plug in the charger into the vehicle: Connect the DC output plug with the DC input
socket of the charger. Connect the Input plug from the DC adaptor to the vehicle cigarette
lighter socket
2a: Charging of cylindrical cells: The charger starts automatically when 2 or 4
rechargeable batteries are inserted, into the charging slots (7). When inserting the cells,
please pay attention to the right number of cells and the right order to proceed (see
also safety instructions). After having inserted the batteries correctly, a steady red light
indicates the fast charging process. Do not insert additional cells during this charging
cycle. Supervision of the batteries is done automatically. Depending on the type of cells
and their capacity, the maximum charging time is 8 hours. After termination of fast
charging the charger switches over to trickle charging. The cells can remain attached to
the charger without being overcharged or losing capacity.
2b. Charging of 9V block: Connect the 9V block with the right polarity to the charging
slots. The charging indicator (2) for the 9V block will light up, if the battery is inserted
correctly. Please only charge discharged batteries. To avoid the 9V block against
overcharging please take a look to the charging times in the table (6). Please remove the
9V block from the charging slot after the correct charging time to protect the battery from
overcharging. It is not possible to discharge the 9V block with the discharge button.
MAINTENANCE AND CLEANING:
To clean the charger, disconnect it from the power adaptor. To ensure correct function
of the charger keep the charging contacts free from dust and dirt. Please only use
a dry cloth.
