Loosen the clamp screws (arrows)

on the gearbox housing – do not
remove them.
Pull the gearbox off the drive tube.

If the drive shaft slips out of the tube
when you pull off the gearbox:
Push the drive shaft into the tube.

The drive shaft must not project from the
tube more than L = 22 mm (7/8 in).
If dimension (L) is not correct:
Apply slight pressure to the drive
N
shaft and rotate it slowly at the same
time until it can be pushed in to the
specified length.

Mounting the Gearbox

Loosen the clamp screws (1) on the
N
gearbox (2) – do not remove them.
Push the drive tube (3) through the
N
clamp and into the gearbox – turn
the gearbox back and forth as
necessary.
Once the end of the drive tube is
N
inserted beyond the slot (see arrow)
in the clamp (5), push it into the
gearbox (2) as far as stop.
Tighten down the clamp screws
N
moderately.
Line up the gearbox (2) on the drive
N
tube so that the machine support (5)
and the tread of the depth wheel (4)
both lie flat on a level surface.
Tighten down the clamp screw
N
firmly.
