Operating Instructions SATA FDG
The safety valve [3-3] / [4-3] / [5-10] / [6-10] may only be checked by au-
thorised staff with adequate know-how in this field.
■ Close the bleeder valve.
■ Pressurise the material pressure tank within the permitted range.
■ Check the safety valve by turning to the left. Air must be heard to be
discharged.
■ Close the safety valve again after it has been checked.
11.2. Check the tank cover seal
■ Open the material pressure tank (see chapter 10.4).
■ Check the seal between tank cover [1-7] / [2-8] and pressure tank
[1-10] / [2-10] for any signs of damage.
■ Close the material pressure tank (see chapter 10.4).
11.3. Check the material and air connections
■ Every time after operating the material pressure tank, check that the air
and material connections are firmly fitted and do not leak.
11.4. Purge pneumatic motor
The motor of the pneumatic agitator is practically maintenance-free. How-
ever, the motor can be purged if there is any loss of power.
■ Disconnect the agitator from the compressed air circuit.
■ Unscrew the compressed air supply from the pneumatic motor air sup-
ply [11-3] / [12-3] / [15-4] / [16-4].
■ Fill a few drops of paraffin into the pneumatic motor air supply.
■ Turn the pneumatic blade back and forth a few times by hand at the
agitator blade.
■ Screw the compressed air supply to the pneumatic motor air supply
[11-3] / [12-3] / [15-4] / [16-4].
■ Apply about 0.5 bar air pressure to the pneumatic motor and let it run
until it is clean and normal power is restored.
■ Unscrew the compressed air supply from the pneumatic motor air sup-
ply and add a few drops of acid-free oil.
■ Screw the compressed air supply back to the pneumatic motor air
supply again.
12. Care and storage
Careful handling together with constant care of the product is necessary
to ensure that the material pressure tank functions properly.
Store the material pressure tank in a dry place.
