9. Repairs
A
Danger!
Repairs to power tools must be car-
ried out by qualified electricians only!
Welding machines in need of repair can
be sent to the service centre of your
country. Refer to spare parts list for
address.
Please attach a description of the fault to
the machine.
10. Environmental Protection
All packaging material are 100 % recy-
clable.
Worn out power tools and accessories
contain considerable amounts of valua-
ble raw and rubber materials, which can
be recycled.
These instructions are printed on paper
produced with elemental chlorine free
bleaching process.
11. Faults
The machine is safeguarded against
overloads by multiple protection devices,
working independent of each other.
Part of these protection devices are the
fine-wire fuses on the PCBs. If any of
these fuses blows this indicates a seri-
ous machine defect.
B
Danger! High voltage!
Never attempt to replace a fine-wire
fuse inside the machine yourself.
Contact a qualified electrician!
Before replacing a blown fuse the
machine needs a complete check and
any defects repaired!
11.1 Trouble Shooting
Irregular wire feed
Feed roll pressure?
−
Adjust to correct pressure
Wire guiding at wire feed motor not in
line?
− Line up feed roll and wire guiding.
Liner blocked, not suitable for wire size?
− Check, replace if necessary.
Irregularly coiled wire or wire crossed?
− Replace wire spool.
Wire rusty or of poor quality?
− Replace wire spool, clean or replace
liner.
Spool brake tightened too much?
− Loosen spool brake.

− Have solenoid valve checked by a
qualified electrician.
Gas shroud on torch or torch leads
blocked?
− Clean gas shroud.
Air draft at welding spot?
− Screen off welding spot or increase
gas flow rate.
Workpiece not clean?
− Remove rust, grease, or paint coat-
ing.
Poor wire quality, unsuitable shielding
gas?
− Use different electrode wire or a
suitable shielding gas.
