Installation instructions for iso20-4 / iso45-4 sec-
tional garage doors with vertical tension spring
Incorrect installation renders the door manufacturer's lia-
bility null and void.
– Installation by qualified installers only –
Please read these instructions carefully prior to installa-
tion.
Intended use of garage doors
Garage doors are intended for installation in areas ac-
cessed by persons in privately used garages and they
are used to enable safe approach of consignments and
vehicles, accompanied or driven by people, in residen-
tial areas.
Although garage doors are tested in accordance with na-
tional and international standards and manufactured ac-
cording to the state of the art, they can pose hazards.
Use of the doors is classified as improper in the following
cases particularly:
Their use does not conform to the intended use
Use without compliance with the minimum levels of
protection in accordance with EN12453
Improper repair or improper servicing, particularly
when performed by incompetent persons
Exertion of loads exceeding normal manual force on
the door leaf (door leaf must be load free during open-
ing and closing, and/or these actions must not be de-
liberately impeded)
Use of inappropriate or incorrectly adjusted operators
Installation or attachment of improper components and
parts in or to the door, the locking system or the opera-
tor, and/or modification of the original delivery status of
these parts
Changes to or modifications of the doors or its compo-
nents
Failure to observe the assembly, operating and
maintenance instructions, and respective country-
specific standards and guidelines, as well as applica-
ble safety regulations
The door is not in a technically and operationally per-
fect condition
Door elements, operators and remote controls are not
children's toys
The door element is not suitable for use by persons (includ-
ing children) with limited mental, physical or sensory capac-
ities or a lack of experience or knowledge.
A door element is not suitable for use as a load-bearing
component. Installation must be carried out vertically or
horizontally in accordance with the design. Arrange the
tracks appropriately either perpendicularly or according to
the installation instructions.
Keep these installation, operating, and maintenance instructions in a safe place during the entire service life of the garage
Scope of delivery:
Iso20-4:
Section set, frame set, panel set
Iso45-4 and iso20-4 (RAL of choice):
Door leaf section set, frame set
Before commencing installation, make sure you have
the following tools to hand (unless you have other means of
access, place them in the garage before installing the gar-
age door): folding ruler/measuring tape, spirit level, plumb-
er's wrench, reversible ratchet with extension >120mm and
SW 7, 10 and 13 spanners (and where necessary open-end
or socket wrench, too), Phillips screwdriver size 2, T30
screwdriver bit, hammer drill with appropriate 10mm drill
bit (depth min. 65mm), at least 2 screw clamps, where nec-
essary squared timber, approx. 30x30mm, hammer, chisel
and metal saw.
Suitable fastening material for the structural conditions.
Important: prior to use, please make sure the S8 wood
screws and S9 plugs included in the delivery are suita-
ble for the structural conditions.

Important:

The garage door must be mounted in the finished
opening and on the finished floor!
Tightening torque on the bolts (S10) for
hinges = 10Nm.
To be on the safe side, please compare the dimensions of
the garage with the coordinating size of the garage door
prior to commencing installation.
Minimum inside width of garage
= Coordinating width + 160mm
Minimum height of garage ceiling
= Coordinating height + 115mm (this is sufficient
when installing an operator as well)
Minimum rebate width left and right = 55mm
Combinations of letters / numbers, e.g. S8, refer to the
corresponding fastening material in the illustrations
section; parts suffixed by a subscript L or R, e.g. 1
(look for marks on the parts) must only be used right
or left respectively, parts without subscript can be
used both right and left.
