Trouble Shooting Guide
PROBLEM
CAUSE
Power light not
• No AC power
illuminated
• Controller failure
• Short between electrodes
Operation light is
• Debris is lodged between
electrodes
flashing GREEN
• Insufficient water flow
through electrodes
Continuous build-up
• Insufficient water flow
through electrodes
of corrosion on
electrodes
Operation light is
• Electrode is depleted
RED
High copper level
• Level of ionization set
to high
• Level of ionization set too low
Low copper level
• Insufficient water flow
through the electrodes
• Electrode is depleted
Cloudy / Dirty water
• Level of ionization set too low
• Insufficient water flow
through the electrodes
• Debris lodged between electrodes
• Electrode is depleted
SOLUTION
• Inspect 110 volt GFCI outlet / 12 volt AC transformer
power output
• Contact Dealer for repair / replacement
• Inspect electrode and remove any built-up corrosion
• Inspect electrode and remove any debris
• Verify that the electrodes are installed properly and the
red dot is aligned with the inlet or outlet side
of the electrode housing / Increase flow rate through
the housing.
• Verify that the electrodes are installed properly and the
red dot is aligned with the inlet or outlet side
of the electrode housing / Increase flow rate through
the housing.
• Inspect and replace the depleted electrode
• Reduce ionization to one bar until tests results are
within the safe range. A partial water change will
also aid in reducing copper levels.
• Increase level of ionization
• Verify that the electrodes are installed properly and
the red dot is aligned with the inlet or outlet side
of the electrode housing / Increase flow rate through
the housing.
