Ventilairsec confirms that the VMI® PULSE'R Prestige 2 unit complies with the ground continuity and
dielectric strength tests.
A test has been performed on this product to validate the essential safety aspects in accordance with
Appendix A of the NF EN60335-1:2012 standard. These serial tests are carried out by Ventilairsec on
each VMI® unit that leaves their production plants in order to detect any production variations that
could affect the safety of the products. These tests are performed on the completed VMI® unit ready
to ship, as recommended by the standard. The machine used for this operation is an SEFELEC brand
SXS50 type dielectric bench.
This test comprises:
A ground continuity test: The aim of this test is to validate the correct functioning of the
-
protective conductor connections between the components to be grounded (power
management, motor, metal housing and various other mechanical components).
A dielectric strength test: The aim of this test is to demonstrate that the VMI® unit is able to
-
withstand all conditions that may occur during its operation: permanent or transient
overvoltage, lightning, etc.
If a product does not pass one of these tests, it undergoes specific analysis to find the cause of the
problem and solve it before it leaves our plants
