7 Bonding a Cosmesis

Before you begin
Lightly abrade and clean the mating surfaces with a suitable solvent cleaner.
Use a contact
adhesive—Evo Stik
926213
528, Thixofix or an
926204
equivalent.
8 Changing the Foot Shell
Before you begin
Remove the anti-tamper sticker and the sealant from the attachment screw.

Wear protective gloves.
Before refitting the keel
Apply grease (928016) to all the surfaces
of the keel that come into contact with the
inside of the foot shell.
No Gap
Grease (928016)
1. Press the keel firmly against the foot shell to close the gap between them.
A gap between the keel and the foot shell can cause the keel to lift out of the foot shell.
2. Tighten the attachment screw until the screw head contacts the keel, then tighten a further
¼ turn.
3. Cover the attachment screw with sealant to prevent tampering.
